The London market, the world’s reinsurance leader
Lloyd’s underwriters are nonetheless less upbeat with only 45% of the polled supporting this assumption. Emerging risks and energy are considered as the market’s key products for 82% of the sample selected.
The London market is, however, likely to undergo substantial changes in particular with regard to the remuneration of intermediaries and transaction transparency.
The survey also found that the London market is in good enough position to overcome the challenges of the global technological and economic revolution. The findings, however, remain less optimistic as regards its efficiency, its diversity and culture.
The opinion poll of DWF firm was carried out during the months of October and November 2017 with 100 insurers, 50 reinsurers and 50 insurance brokers.
